Comfrey Salve

Comfrey with plantain and arnica infused oils in this salve.  Plantain has long been considered by herbalists to be a useful remedy for cough , wounds , inflamed skin or dermatitis, and insect bites. Bruised or crushed leaves have been applied topically to treat insect bites and stings, eczema , and small wounds or cuts. Comfrey is for the body’s muscles and bone structures.  It is a pain relieving herb!  Herbalists commonly recommend comfrey salves for sprains, strains, muscle pain, arthritis, bruises, and fractures.
Comfrey has been shown to reduce inflammation, reduce pain and speed skin healing.  It contains allantoin, a substance believed to promote healing by stimulating the growth of new cells.  Topical comfrey creams are incredibly effective at treating acute back pain as well.
Multiple studies have shown that comfrey salves reduced pain and increased mobility in patients with osteoarthritis.
Comfrey’s pain-relieving effects are helpful in treating the pain associated with joint sprains, and one study found that topical applications of comfrey are as effective as synthetic prescription pain-relieving gels.
